Hey Little Rockers! Attention Attention! Saturday Salsa is Official! I'm SO excited about this event! Little Rock has been asking for a Saturday night salsa venue for ages and I'm really happy to be able to finally provide one. The Flying Saucer in the River Market of Downtown Little Rock has graciously agreed to be our hosts on Saturday March 23rd. If we blow it out the box with attendance, they will happily let us make it an every Saturday occurrence.  Let's get on board Little Rock! Mark your calendars and plan to show up with your friends Saturday March 23rd for Saturday Salsa all night long ;)!

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm just getting home from a super fun night of teaching salsa to some great UCA students! Check out the newest edition of salseros in the Little Rock area :). I really love teaching in groups like this :). Just last week, for instance I taught at another Valentine's Day event - this one for wives and husbands. It was SO SWEET seeing them having fun and learning the dance together.

The new year is upon us in less than 3 days! SMALL GROUP CLASS (semi - private lesson)
Limited to 4 students
No partner required (number of follows and leads will be equal)
FOUR 50-minute classes scheduled over a month at convenient (to the group) times and locations
2 Classes will cover salsa basics, 2 Classes will cover bachata basics
$40 per person ($10 per session)
This class will be equivalent to getting private instruction (usually $65/session).  With the small class number, I'll be able to focus on each student and make sure that you are executing the moves correctly.  If you are shy about learning in a club or in a big group class, this is the deal for you.  


TWO PERSON PRIVATE LESSON 
THREE 50-minute sessions scheduled over a month
$90 ($30 per session -$15 per person)
If you and a partner want to get better faster, this is the deal for you.  My private lessons are usually $65/session for one person and $100 for two people so this is an INCREDIBLE DEAL.  I really want to get Little Rock dancing well!

SINGLE PERSON PRIVATE LESSON  
THREE 50-minute sessions scheduled over a month
$50 ($16.67 per session for a PRIVATE LESSON)
This is probably the best deal I've ever offered :).  In these classes, we can cover whatever dance questions/issues you have.  We can correct problems (Why when I try to lead a right turn, the lady doesn't go anywhere?), accelerate your ETA to comfortable, fun dancing (I want to get out there and dance, but I don't want to embarrass myself!), or take your dancing to the next level (I'm ready for more turn patterns and what's this I hear about styling??) .  I want to help people kick off the new year with dance in their life.  It's my passion and it can easily become yours too :D. 


Now the kicker is that you must message me before end of day (11:59pm) January 5th to get any of these specials.  So that's a whole week to ask questions, contact your friends and get partners, and figure out which deal (or even more than one deal) works best for you!

*Important note!  Studio fee is not included in the deal prices and is the responsibility of the students.  This is because we have a couple of options and I have to pay rent and stuff myself ;).  We can meet at Let's Dance Studio ($12/session), at your home or a location you choose, or at my home.    

I was honored last Friday at the Diva Society's Anniversary Celebration and it was a real treat!  They honored me for being a presenter and supporter during their first year of activity.  I did a mini-salsa demo and then got them all up and dancing!  It was soooo much fun!  

This is an awesome organization in Little Rock.  You've got to make time to check them out and come to one of their events if you can.  They are amazingly supportive women and their events are fun, informative, and inspiring.  They've supported me tons in helping me reach and educate more women about natural skin care and Etniq Minerals and they've also been super excited about the health benefits of dance.  (They couldn't wait to get going with salsa that night!)

Whenever they call on me, I always try to say yes - that's how awesome they are :).

Nov. 9 - 11th I had the pleasure of attending the Memphis salsa convention as an instructor and dance team director.  My ladies choreography class team Rock City Elite Ladies performed their piece Mambo de la Luz on Saturday night and did awesomely!  Here is a photo of myself and them.  They are all wearing Etniq Mineral Cosmetics as well - their makeup looked amazing on stage too :).   

On Saturday morning I taught a fun Pachanga class to some great students that dragged themselves out of bed for the first workshop, lol.  I truly enjoyed it :).  

I always have a blast at the Memphis Salsa Convention!   Here's one other cool photo someone caught of me dancing :).  

Cliff Anderson, salsa dancer extraordinaire from Dallas, Tx has agreed to come and teach Little Rock how to do his fun and crazy turn patterns plus some easy dips and tricks.

This class will be for beginner intermediate to intermediate dancers and will cover easy to learn but impressive turn patterns that will increase your fun level on the dance floor. Ladies Leah will even be there showing you a few styling tips to make it even more fun.

This is a class you do not want to miss!!

I am so excited about this event! Myself and a good friend, Angela Burt have been working on hosting a salsa event with a local Little Rock band for a few months now and FINALLY, the time has come!

Rodney Block and the Real Music Lovers are absolutely excellent and on Sept. 27th they'll be playing salsa for the first time ever in Little Rock!  Awesome right?!

I'll be teaching a basic salsa lesson at 8pm and then will be helping people out for the rest of the night.  It's going to be so great!  Did I mention that I am excited??
